We would like to wish all of our customers a very happy and healthy 2023 ! The year has started off a little quiet on the fishing front. The high winds this week have kept most of the boats in port but some of the smaller boats have been able to make it out there under the shelter of the coast. This has meant we’ve seen good landings of Bass, Sardines and Mackerel. The Hake boats managed a couple of days and our Pollack boat had a good landing this week.

This week is going to be much the same but hopefully the bigger boats will leave port towards the end of the week.

So if you’re looking for sustainable small boat fish this week – Bass, Mackerel, Sardines and pollack are a good bet.

Tomorrow we will see a trawler with flat fish – Megrim soles, Plaice, Dover soles, Brill and Turbot so we will be able to get all of those out for the weekend !

Hopefully the weather will improve soon – but in the meantime – thank you for supporting us down here in blustery Cornwall !!!
